In the post-industrial economy, efficiency of scientific knowledge generation becomes crucial. Researchers began to interpret as a factor economic growth in second half 20th century; since then, within theory economics and management, various approaches have been developed study impact on performance. With time, focus knowledge-based theories shifted from corporate management macrosystems policy.
